Lipoedema is a chronic, connective adipose tissue disorder that almost exclusively affects women. It is characterised by a symmetrical, disproportionate distribution and build-up of abnormal fat. LIPOEDEMA SYMPTOMS
Symptoms usually begin around puberty or at other times of hormonal change, triggering the development of excess fat in the legs, buttocks and sometimes the arms.
